Adolescent Services

Over the last decade there has been a growing need to provide clinical services for the increasing number of adolescents with behavioral, emotional, and academic difficulties who are not yet able to return home to live with their family or live independently within their community. In response, St. Ann’s Home has opened an adolescent center to offer comprehensive treatment for this growing population by providing a therapeutic milieu for adolescent boys and girls at its main campus and two community-based group homes.

In addition to a full range of psychiatric, psychological, medical, and educational services, focused efforts have been made to expand our adolescent programming. Some of these initiatives include a Community Action Club, “In the News,” a newspaper run by St. Ann’s adolescents, a Photography ClubProject Adventure, and a new gymnasium which enables adolescents to participate in an enhanced athletic program. Whether living on campus or in one of our group homes, adolescents are encouraged to participate in treatment decisions, maintain their individuality, and build upon their strengths as they engage and make progress through St. Ann’s Home.
